Spring Walk Saturday 18th. April.
We will walk from Bletchley to the Newton Leys and Blue Lagoon Country Park area, starting from Bletchley station at 11.45. This area has been much smartened up in recent years and forms an attractive countryside walk in and around several lakes and woodland before reaching the new development at Newton Leys (less than 3 miles makes). We'll stop for lunch at the Turing Key pub restaurant, (Marston Inns Group ) which offers a variety of good value meals. www.turingkeypubbletchley.co.uk Afterwards, walkers can return to Bletchley town centre on local Arriva bus routes X2 or X3. It's a short 10 min walk from the bus station to the railway station. Bedford trains depart at 52 mins past each hour. Alternatively, if the weather is favourable an additional 2-mile walk is possible through country fields paralleling the West Coast main line to nearby Stoke Hammond village. The X3 bus will enable a suitable return to Bletchley. We hope you can join us and travel there by train, catching the 10.47 from Bedford. However local car parking is available in the Bletchley area. Although most of the pre- lunch walk section is on good pavements and redways, suitable footwear is recommended, essential for the after-lunch section to Stoke Hammond. If you need any further information, please contact our Events Co- Ordinator, Richard Butler on 01525 372487 before the day, or 07724 170344 on the day.
